Verified ReviewerDamage to my vehicle
My windshield was replaced 7/27/20 work order 006546-46****. My dash was damaged, side panels to my windshield, and left mirror was popped off the hinge.
When employee Steven brought my keys in, he did not notify me of the damage. Nor did his manager Tim call and notify me. They both chose to ignore it. I made a warranty appointment for 8/3/20.
Nothing was resolved. I had to BEG for Tim to call me. I requested Steven to not be back in my vehicle, they sent Steven for my warranty check. I contacted Safelite after Steven left and they said I needed to make another warranty, when that is what my appointment on 8/3/20 was for.
THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS. This is now my third day attempting to get a hold of someone that can help me.This is the third windshield Safelite has replaced on my Lexus iS 250. I have never had any issues until now. I am getting ran around in circles.
Not one employee has had any regards to the damage of my vehicle. Tim laughed at me on the phone stating "they would take care of the finger prints left on my car" and schedule a mobile detail to come clean my car. STILL NO REGARDS TO THE DAMAGE. That is not the case.
I have pictures of everything and i do not want this to turn into a law suit, but i will take every measure I have to until my damage is fixed. I am being made out to be the bad guy in this situation, all I am asking is that Safelite fixes the damages THEIR employee caused. Both the manager Tim and Steven told me, "it is hot outside and they were rushing". That is NO excuse to damage a customers car and not have any regards to it.
This is completely unacceptable. I have pictures of all the damage and a record of conversations. A different manger Sam was supposed to call me this morning and I still have not heard a word from him. I can not believe the circles and hoops I am being ran through, over an employee damaging my vehicle.
Steven had absolute no pride in his work. He left my car an ABSOLUTE wreck. My next step will be mailing all evidence to the corporate office and after that will be a law suit. I really hope someone can help me before this turns ugly.
I am a business owner and I would NEVER conduct business this way.
This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever had to deal with. Safelite is a huge corporation and this is just unacceptable.

Rude Employee
Had a service tech Arbey come to my home. He attempted to fix a crack in the windshield and failed - he told me that this was most likely because the windshield had been fixed before.
The car I bought was brand new from a dealership with no reports of having windshield damage and I only had the car for 2 maybe 3 weeks. I had my windshield replaced a week later, however the service tech gave me some slide comments about not lying and telling the truth about what happened. I didnt have any reason to lie at all - the auto policy I have covers glass damage. I was a little confused about why he thought I would lie but the fact that this guy came to my home and then gave me speech about lying had me a little ticked off especially when 1) Theres literally no reason to lie - Insurance would have fixed it either way.
And 2) Im a customer and youre on my property - If I went to anyones home and insinuated that they were a liar without actually knowing it thats pretty disrespectful. I really just had to walk away from this guy before I blew up on him after he suggested that I drive the car with the crack still in it. Seriously?
Its a new car, Im not driving it with a crack in the windshield bro.. lol smh terrible service.

I called to have a small chip repaired and the technician caused about 1" crack from his repair which made it look so much worse. He said after it was done "it happens" but he used extra resin so this will be the strongest part of my windshield and won't get worse.
I didn't have any recourse because what's done is done but it looked horrible and I filled out a negative email review direct from safelite. 2 days later I had a crack across the entire screen and my simple chip and 1" crack is now a full windshield replacement for $250 deductible which was very unexpected and wasn't in the budget. I was upset and could not reach anyone at safelite despite calling every number I could find until I used this site, twitter and Facebook and all of a sudden the store manager called me. It was resolved 100% to my satisfaction with a new windshield although not OE.
I think they agreed to help in part because the guy who replaced the windshield mentioned the tech was a trainee and did not inform me in advance of the chance the windshield could be worse after the repair and I may have opted to not do it since it was not a very noticeable chip to start with. I never thought to read reviews about safelite until AFTER this happened because I've always heard good things from others.

I just got my truck back last night and this morning noticed the dashboard is all scuffed up! F&*K...
Barely driven new truck with scuffed up dashboard.
I started the process but from what I see online I don't expect any chance of recovering from the damage they caused. Gross.
