Verified ReviewerNo fixed car yet, going on TWO MONTHS
Having to use Safelite for USAA, it's been two months! I've called 6-8 times over the past 2 months, kept saying I have a freaking Passport car; I don't and never told them I had one! I kept telling them it's a Honda HR-V. I've been sent to 4 other people, who claimed to have put in the right car. I had the manager call me, and I was supposed to get it done yesterday, 12/5/2025, but here I am. They called me 30 minutes before my appointment and said, 'Your Passport car.' I stopped him right away and told him it's not a damn Passport car, and I'm going on 2 months with each person claiming they've fixed the issue.
Their AI assistant, Scarlett, sucks. I can never get to an actual person to fix my *** problem.
I will never use Safelite again, Jesus Christ!
I will be going to the store after work today to talk to a damn manager in person. Absolutely ridiculous; fix it quick, my ***
- Stupid ai assistant
- Timing
- Terrible automated service
Preferred solution: Apology and at this point give me the $1800 to get my glass repaired within days at the Honda dealership
User's recommendation: Don’t use safelite

I ordered my windshield replacement on Wednesday, 10-8-25. I paid for that windshield this morning, 10-10-25.
When I called, they said it was canceled because they couldn't install glass on a vehicle made before 2000. They also have no idea when I would receive the money back from the purchase. I set up my appointment specifically for 10-11-25, as I am required to have it by then. I want some compensation for the insurance I had paid for, to have that vehicle back on the road tomorrow, which won't happen now.
Your website shouldn't have even let me pay for it if you couldn't replace it. I am clearly frustrated at this situation your representative called an inconvenience. If you can't service my vehicle, then I shouldn't be able to order for it. This was false advertising as I was guaranteed service for my vehicle.
I want this matter resolved and would like to escalate this situation. If you can't service my vehicle, then don't say you can until I pay for the service, just to tell me no.
- False advertisement about vehicles that can be serviced
Preferred solution: Deliver product or service ordered
User's recommendation: Avoid safelite if possible. Horrible customer service and false advertisement about what vehicles can be serviced. Especially after making purchases, as my order was canceled after I sent them money, which will now take up to a week to receive back.

Verified Reviewer |Very disappointed after 25 yrs of patronage
Had my windshield replaced. The work was excellent, but the experience with the receptionist/owner was unacceptable.
She was so emotional and rude. I asked about waiving the deductible, and she went off and wanted to cancel my replacement. Finally, the technician let me leave my vehicle.
I believe she was rude because I am hearing impaired and a senior citizen. I hope Safelite will address this issue and ensure seniors are treated with dignity.
- Great service in the past
- Rude staff
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Avoid the receptionist/owner

Poor customer service
I called to have my windshield serviced on 7/3/2025. Tech Dezaun came and replaced the windshield .
Three days later as I was driving back to West Texas to work, I started hearing a loud thudding sound coming from the front of my car. I get out to check what the noise was, looked under the hood, and was unable to see any visible issues. So I got back in the in the car and proceeded to continue on my journey. Not even 5 minutes later the sound returned.
After pulling over yet again I was unable to locate the issue. It wasnt till I made it safely back to Odessa that I noticed the molding was loose and the side panel broken. After reaching out to Safelite for assistance, a tech came to inspect and assess the problem and stated that the molding was placed in upside down. The Technician Reached out to the supervisor and was able to schedule me a warranty replacement.
The warrenty replacement was scheduled for 7/17/2025. This warranty was suppose to cover the molding and the broken window panels done by the previous technician. Yet when I received my car back, not only had the side panels not been replaced, but the replacement windshield had a hairline crack. After reaching back out to me they scheduled a new appointment for 7/31/2025.
I informed them I would be back in my home town of Killeen Tx, and if possible could they schedule the appointment for a location there and they happily agreed. Me not know this would be a nightmare, because after speaking to the tech and the manager I was informed that they needed to order the side panels and they would not arrive to the day I was scheduled to return back to Odessa. When asked to be compensated or reimbursed for their lack of communication, the manager stated that there is nothing that could be done. I informed him that I have to go back to West Texas for work on Sunday-Monday morning and he asked when would be the next time I would be in town.
I informed him that I couldnt be back home for another three weeks which would make this two months and that is completely unacceptable. The only other solution he could come up with is to go to a junk yard and grab the panels of another used vehicle. Again Unacceptable.
I have not been reimbursed or compensated and I also have junk yard side panels on my car.. I will never use them again!
User's recommendation: Do not use.

Verified ReviewerIssue
To whom it may concern,
On July 13, 2025, I made an appointment for July 14th at 9:30 a.m. for a chip on my windshield for a repair.
The address of the location is 7155 Exchequer Drive, Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70809. The glass technician, whose name was never given to me, approached me for my assistance with my repair. The technician and I stepped outside to look at the chip on my windshield. The technician drove my car into the designated work area.
The technician came back less than 10 minutes later and reversed the car into a parking spot. The technician had a hesitant look on his face and stated that the chip was more extensive than originally thought, and I could not believe what he was telling me. It was unfortunate news all of a sudden when this was not an issue before I made my appointment. I am in total disbelief because the chip was a simple repair until the technician made it worse than what it was, and now, at this moment, I am being told I have to pay $525, which is outrageous, as initially, the total was going to be at no cost of zero dollars.
I spoke with Avery, the manager, and he stated that now I have to contact my insurance to lower my deductible, to which the insurance stated I am unable to do that.
The technician was not held accountable for his actions in damaging my windshield. I am Danielle Charles; you can contact me at (225) 447-**** for more information regarding this issue at hand.

Verified Reviewer |Safe-lite replace and rip off - no one wants to answer to - zero customer service
I had a work order scheduled Friday, March 14th and when the technician came, I was told that the windshield that the customer service rep on the website who helped me over the Chat option selected the wrong one. The technician stated he could come back the following day and do the service with the correct windshield.
Later, he called and said he part was not available until Monday. Monday was not possible because I had to get home 10 hours up north. I was told to rebook the appointment and could get the same deal. I am not able to get the same deal, in fact it is now going to cost me an additional $100 since I lost my original deal.
It's not right that Safe-lite will not honor the original work order or at least the original quote.
I kept being told "you cannot have 2 discounts on the quote". There is clearly 2 discounts.

Broken glass fix it fast you better change that slogan . Tomorrow will be the 5 th attempt at correctly replacing my windshield .
First time , molding all twisted and glass deep scratch . Second time , redid the windshield but forgot to replace the glass . Third time dropped off then they called and said the glass they got was scratched have to order another one . Fourth time today they got another glass also scratched .
Fifth time , they are ordering another windshield for tomorrow .
Unbelievable . Worst windshield place ever

Verified ReviewerThese people do not have humans answering their phones. I spent over a total of 59 minutes on hold to talk to a real person, but it never happened. I needed to have an OEM windshield installed,.
No place in their AI entering system to specify that I wanted an OEM windshield. On the day of my appointment, they told me that I should've told them that ahead of time and that it would take at least a week to get the OEM windshield in.
I called a different glass company and they will install my new OEM windshield in two days. Don't use Safelite!
User's recommendation: Don’t use Safelite for windshields. They only want to sell you an off-brand piece of glass!!!!

Your commercial is confusing. Please explain.
In the ad, the man's son says to his father, who is holding a bat, Nice shot, Dad.
However, I believe the son should have said, Nice hit, Dad, since the father didnt throw the ballhe hit it with the bat. Please watch the commercial for yourself and clarify the intended meaning.
In baseball, the correct term is nice hit when referring to successfully striking the ball with the bat.
The term shot is occasionally used informallyespecially in phrases like line shot or nice shot to left fieldbut its more commonly associated with sports like basketball, hockey, or golf.
So in the context of a son complimenting his dad for hitting a baseball, Nice hit, Dad is the more accurate and natural phrasing.

Verified ReviewerHidden charges
Scheduled a windshield replacement. In the checkout portion of the scheduling, a $40 charge was added, for recycling fee.
Safelite is partnered with Shark glass recycling. They don't pay for the recycling. There is no requirement in GA to recycle glass. They tell you that it is required, and you can't just dispose of it.
Charging the consumer a "mandatory recycling fee", while profiting from the recycled material. Honorable business practice would be to add "mandatory fees" upfront.
Don't wait until checkout to add the charge. Too many people will feel obligated to just pay it.
- Come to your location
- Customer service is very condescending
- Customer service is automated
- Very difficult to speak to a live person
Preferred solution: Apology
User's recommendation: Find a local glass shop for your repairs.
Not providing service for an issue they created
I called in to report a chip in my windshield. Once the technician was on site.
He tried to perform the task to fix the window however, he damaged it even worse than it was before I was told I would have an appointment three days later, however on the third day, I was called and told it would take three weeks for my window to arrive as it needed to be an OEM a day before it was to be installed.
I was called and said that they could not find my window and now Each and every time I call they tell me that they cant find my window and they cant really help me this is unacceptable. How can I get my window repaired?
User's recommendation: Try and find someone else to perform window services
