Safelite did not put my trim back on correctly. They tell me they are not responsible.

Lousy customer service. Uncaring manager He did not want to Listen to my issue. Took to another glass service just to get an assessment. No work done.

They found double sided tape that was used to try and hold my trim down. This is ridiculous and a crap job for a reputable company I will give negative reviews now every time I get a chance For now Safelite SUCKS

Pissed off consumer. Nobody cares at Safelite that I trusted your company with my show car and you screwed it up. Not a blemish on my car until your tech did a job on it the outside pillar panels on my convertible were not put back the way they are supposed to fit my car.

I have called customer service 7 times. Each time they say they're sending a message to the store and district manager.

I have heard nothing on Safelites side about the damage to my car.

Abysmal customer service. These people aren't worth a "living wage."

Original review Sep 16, 2023
I had an appt for a chip in my windshield to be replaced. The chip was fixed flawlessly however, when my car was returned to me, there were 3 scratches in my car door (pictures posted). This is the second time I've used Safelite and both times more damage was incurred (first time chip repair shattered my windshield). I inquired with the technician to which he replied, "I didn't do that." Both manager and tech were quite dismissive. I have contacted both corporate and the shop manager (manager made an uneducated attempt to gaslight me). The shop manager requested pictures of the damage and never replied. I have contacted corporate every day since the incident to no avail. I get that accidents happen but for it to be handled like this? Terrible customer support and service. USAA needs to discontinue their contract with Safelite.

Safelite Autoglass - How do you give negative stars?
If I could give this company a NEGATIVE STAR I would give them negative five for how infuriating it is to try to get a hold of a human being!!! I've blown my top I'm so beyond frustrated!!! Hour and a half now I've been trying to get ahold of a person and I can't. I can't even leave a voicemail!!! W. T. F. !??? The "automated service" I keep ending up at no matter what *** number I call keeps disconnecting me because it can't find my phone number. I have a leaking window in my truck from a recent service there and I can't get a hold of a f*****person and the automated service won't help me and keeps disconnecting me because it can't find my number... What the actual *** I've been trying to get a hold of somebody for over an hour and going in circles. Worst *** service I've ever had to deal with and it will never happen again. I'll spend the rest of my life telling people to avoid Safelite AutoGlass like the f*****plague it is!!!

Safelite Autoglass - Unprofessionalism and Customer Experience
I am not usually a person to post things like this on my page but I am so disgusted on the treatment and unprofessionalism here at safelite auto glass 2001 Rt 70 WCherry Hill, NJ 08002 How you can be a Store Manager of your business and do not know who is doing what or doing the order for parts! I am very understanding person and know that things happen I get it. But why lie to your customers saying that the part got there broken, when actually the parts was never delivered in the first place. Then what makes it worse have your receptionist getting confused with the story and told two different stories. Furthermore, I asked for the manager because the story was not adding up or making any sense. The manager got on the phone and I said I am not trying to be rude or ignorant. However, be honest with my because I am hearing to different stories was my part order yes or no. The manager first said no, then said we did, but the manufacture never got the order, then oh I dont know who did the order for you last week??? I was confused the order was done at your location and I spoke with someone at your location and you dont know whats going on in your store? When you are the store manager. I even got an email to come in today to drop off my car and the email is down below! I have to pay someone to take me to work to Philadelphia and back to then to be lied too be more professional. If you do not have the part ok not a problem the problem you lied and trying to make it seem like you was not the problem or like no one in your store failed to communicate with each other. Lastly, it is not my fault that I went to your place of business to get my windshield repaired and it was not installed properly then to get poor customer service later to get it back repaired. This is unacceptable!

Poor service!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I took my car to Safelite on Rosedale Ave in Richmond, Va. in May to have my windshield replaced. After it was replaced, my camera would not work correctly, so they had to put in an OEM part, which had to be ordered from Germany so I had to wait a few weeks. Once it returned, I was told that they were sorry because they didn't have the right part, so that was a trip for nothing. I took it back to be replaced and I was told they needed a bracket, which they didn't have. I was asked to take my car back just to see what type of bracket they needed. After this was replaced it, it still wouldn't work so as they tried, but could not. I was my reimbursed $100 deductible for having to return 5 times and all of the changes I encountered. I took my car to the dealership and they recalibrated it, after Safelite had said they had, but hadn't, and I was charged $185.00, which I wasn't expecting. I thought this is what the insurance would pay for. I sent an email to the manager @ Rosedale and her response was: "After reviewing the dealer receipt along with my Quality manager, as we do not recalibrate augmented reality camera features at Safelite Autoglass, this service would not have been apart of the services we provided. Therefore, we would not be able to reimburse you for the reset performed by the dealership." I called your customer service and spoke with a representative who said he'd speak with the manager because to his knowledge he thought Safelite warranted all their work for a year and didn't know of any phrase stating they did not service reality cameras. He said he would contact the manager and get back with me in 48 hours, which would have been last Friday, and I still have not heard from him. Upon calling this morning, I was told the representative found out the answer last Wednesday, but never got back with me! How would I have ever known if I had not called back and continued to wait for his call? I was also told to contact my insurance company about reimbursement, which I don't feel is fair. This is August, and this process first started off in May! Everything has been very unprofessional and disappointing, and I would not expect such from Safelite. I feel I should be reimbursed for the $185 I had to pay, being that it was a part of the service, and never was I told I would be responsible for anything other than the deductible. Please respond.

I call the Safelite office in Macon, about dropping my vehicle off. I told them that the passenger side window was completely broken out of my truck. I was told they was going to park it inside the bay once they are done for the day, the young lady at the front desk told me the same thing that they young man on the phone said. She printed out my appointment paperwork at took my keys, she said she will have one of the guys to park it inside once they are done. I had a bad feeling that my truck was not secured inside as I was told it would be. Macon has a very high crime rate. I asked my friend that lives in Macon to drive over there to see if my truck was parked inside. He told me that my truck was still in front of the office. They never secured my truck and it could have been broken into or stolen. This is very upsetting that they would treat customers like this. They would not have left their vehicle unsecured, I came back to pick my truck up so it wouldnt be stolen or damaged. I dont live in Macon and driving back and forth is not a short drive. They need to be held accountable for their actions. Because the company would have been liable for whatever happened to my truck. Corp will be getting a call first thing in the morning. I took pictures to show that my truck was left unsecured in front of the office V/r Unhappy customer Clestine Harley

Headliner damage

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Problem: Headliner along top of windshield damaged. Safelite location: Paris, TN. Vehicle: 2008 Ford Escape. Description for repair: replace windshield. - Initial communication with installer was good. He arrived on time and was pleasant to talk with during installation, BUT- **Problem: Tech failed to notify us that it is common for the headliner (fabric and/or insulation) along top of windshield to become separated during replacement. - Tech appeared to take Safelite required steps to prevent damage by placing cardboard along top as he cranked cord/string around edges to break seal for removal. This obviously does not work. The cardboard and cord appears to have caused the headliner fabric to become separated from the insulation across the entire front. I noted the problem to the tech during final inspection, which he said is common on replacement windshields to not fit the same as OEM windshields. I told him this was unacceptable and I would notify Matt (location owner/manager) of damage. - Safelite's main office phone number does not work. I had to call tech's cell phone who called Matt, who in turn called me. I explained the damage and Matt sent a senior tech to inspect the job and take photos of the headliner for legal purposes. I asked the senior tech about the problem. He said the original tech should have told us about the headliner problem PRIOR to starting. - Basically, Safelite is not accepting responsibility for the damage and said the only way to fix the problem is for me to use spray fixative to re-attach the fabric. I'm researching U- or C-channel molding that can be fitted around the insulation with the fabric tucked in the channel for a permanent repair. - Also, on our receipt, it states "Your vehicle has been vacuumed." This DID NOT happen. - If this is a common occurrence, Safelite should put it on their website and notify all customers BEFORE any job begins. Would I use Safelite again, not likely. I would check with other local companies for their service/warranty and past windshield replacement referrals.

User's recommendation: Be aware that when you replace a damaged windshield, your headliner fabrice/insulation will lilkely need some type of repair.

Your car is over 15 years old. I doubt the headliner was 100% to begin with. You deserve nothing my guy.

Safelite Autoglass - Broke Dashcam When Replaced Windshield
Beware: Safelite never disclosed that when they replaced my windshield that they would destroy the dashcam mount, rendering the camera useless. (The dashcam was a Vantrue Element 1 Lite which utilizes an electrostatic pad and adhesive mount.) Safelite refused to repair or replace the dashcam, and they refused to offer any financial compensation. Very unsatisfactory.

Unsafe service!!!!

10 days notice on windshield appointment. Tech was agitated that it was a late appointment and he would be there late. Called and said windshield was replaced but he couldn't calibrate the safety system and the windshield had a defect. Then told me it would be 10 days before the would replace and the safety system, driver assist and crash protection would not be working. I asked if they really thought that was acceptable and the tech replied "you never drove without driver assist or crash protection before? This your first car?" I told him that is not acceptable and that I bought the car fortnhe safety system. He said he didn't want to do the windshield now, keys are under the visor and hung up the phone. Compete and total waste of skin and incredibly incapable. Had zero understanding of the system he was calibrating

My brother, Daniel Winter needed windshield and driver window replaced and I/sister, Marilyn Pope (617-416-****) called in my cc info on 10/1 97*-***-****. They went to my brothers house on 10/2 and left, not replacing windows saying they had no cc info. I left my class and called in cc info again. Phone options kept rerouting me to main menu options as no option for my concern. Finally, I chose option: upcoming appt and I stated: phone # IDK and stated: zip code IDK. Got a person, gave all my cc info again, I reiterated best not charge me twice, and I stated how frustrating your online menu. My brother then called to get service truck back to his house. My brother has concerns with service. I had to call today 617-934-****, to assure that my cc will only be charged with the partial service that was completed for my brother. My cc charge currently shows pending $445.59 on my activity, should be charged only $272.83. I will monitor my cc activity. Frustrating and unnecessary.
