Safelite Autoglass - Safelite Not The Greatest
I have a light under the front hood that is connected to see at night if I ever have to lift the hood and when Safelite replaced my glass they disconnected my light bulb for the front hood which at first was fine because the front hood was going to be open for a while while they replace my front windshield so that my car battery wouldn't die. I noticed that same day when I had to check something under the hood they never put my light bulb back in and when I mentioned it to them they denied even doing it!
To be fair I went to go buy a new light bulb and they offered to give me the money I paid. Also, I had a new wiper arm put in before my Safelite appointment, told the Safelite guy about it and showed him it needed to be adjusted because the guy who put it in didn't have it going all the way down like it should and Safelite said it was no big deal they would fix it and they never did. I realize this isn't a big deal that this is something small but my point is that if someone can't be trusted with small things how can you trust them with big things? I also noticed that this Safelite glass easily gets a dirty film on it and has to be clean more often, never had this problem with my original windshield, they say they are American but I read another complaint somewhere else online on a Consumer Affairs that the glass was lower cheap quality made in China.
I'm not sure if that's true or not, I'll have to check that out for myself to verify it because I don't want to be unfair as it might not be true. Safelite however was also a little sloppy with putting back my rubber trim on the outside of the front of the Windshield.
They seem to have a problem taking responsibility when they don't do something right even if it's something small which puts a red flag up to me. I just hope and pray I'm not in for problems in the future, only time will tell.
Reason of review: Bad quality.
Safelite Autoglass Pros: Excellent job cleaning up.
